A postcard route
This 8th stage will run from Périgueux to Bergerac over 182 kilometres, offering a real immersion into the treasures of the Périgord Noir. The peloton will pass through some exceptional sites before arriving in Sarlat:
- The Vézère Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Montignac-Lascaux, with a nod to the famous cave
- Les Eyzies, world capital of prehistory
- Sarlat-la-Canéda, the medieval jewel of Périgord
After passing through our beautiful city, the riders will tackle the climb to Domme, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, before continuing their route through the majestic Dordogne Valley, passing through the villages of La Roque-Gageac and Beynac.
A spectacular stage
Although classified as a lowland stage, the route nonetheless boasts a positive altitude difference of 1,150 metres, offering a sporting challenge on picturesque Périgord roads. The steep landscapes and exceptional panoramas will accompany riders and spectators throughout this memorable day.
