Unique in France. The remains of a richly endowed Gallo-Roman residence are housed in a modern building designed by the architect Jean Nouvel. The collections from Antiquity are exhibited to their best advantage. A vast umbrella-like structure floats over the walls of the “Domus de Vesunna” protecting it. A themed trail explains “the town and public life” and “domestic and private life”.
