Description
Dvo?ák?s Cello Concerto is one of the supreme scores of the string repertoire. From the solemnity of the first movement, to the tenderness of the Adagio, to the murmurs of the reprise and the flamboyant Finale, it bridges the gap between American music, Bohemian culture and the European classical repertoire. Accompanied by two other famous pieces by the Czech composer, the Concerto was recorded by Raphaël Jouan for La Dolce Volta, and released in February 2026 in collaboration with the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est. For this concert in the church of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, the cellist will perform a chamber version, stripped of its orchestration, highlighting the backbone and musical force of these works by Dvo?ák. Reservations required.
