In this, the bicentenary year of photography, the town of Sarlat has chosen to honor photojournalism with the exhibition "NENGO" by Nick Danziger.
Nick Danziger, winner of a World Press Award (2004) for his "Mirror Portrait" of George Bush and Tony Blair, is a multi-disciplinary artist from London.
The NENGO project, born of the Pierre Fabre Foundation?s encounter with Dr. Mukwege, "the man who repairs women" and winner of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, focuses on the holistic care of the individual (medical, psychological, socio-economic and legal).
In this context, Nick Danziger met fifteen people whose stories he listened to before tracing their testimonies by drawing their portraits. This advocacy exhibition goes far beyond the Central African Republic.
