Stroll
through the medieval streets of Sarlat among theatre backdrops
From the second half of July to the beginning of August, the medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda undergoes a metamorphosis, setting the stage for the Festival des Jeux du Théâtre! For an open-air performance, head for Place de la Liberté in front of the town hall, the Jardin des Enfeus (behind the Cathedral) and the Sainte-Claire abbey courtyard! Young spectators, head for the Jardin du Plantier!
The programme includes unique, original outdoor performances and the attention provided by the association’s many enthusiastic volunteers. Before each show, you might spot Jean-Paul Tribout, the festival’s artistic director, who played in famous French series called “Brigades du Tigre” …
The festival offers opportunities to attend lectures, classical theatre productions from France and elsewhere, and original contemporary performances! The event brings together experienced artists and new talents, including actors, authors and directors, for a not-to-be-missed summer event!
