Description

Les traversées du Périgord Noir 2026 opens on early 18th-century Italy, and two of its most famous composers: the preto rosso Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. The Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal de Versailles, conducted by harpsichordist and continuo player Chloé de Guillebon, takes us to the land of the Counter-Reformation, where religious and secular music became intimately linked. From divine fury to Mary?s sorrow at the foot of the Cross, via the sinner?s repentance, emotions are set free by the voices of mezzo-soprano Éléonore Pancrazi and countertenor Théo Imart. Set course for Italy, and let the journey begin! PROGRAM Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), Nulle in Mondo Pax Sincera RV 630 Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), Stabat Mater Jean-Baptiste Pergolesi (1710-1736), Stabat Mater. By reservation only.
