Description
Starting from Sarlat, this 5-day itinerant hike takes you through the diverse landscapes of the Périgord Noir along a 72 km route with nearly 2,000 meters of elevation gain. Between wooded valleys, sunken paths, charming villages and wide-open views, each stage offers a gradual immersion into a preserved and authentic territory. You will pass through places such as Saint-André-d’Allas, Marquay, Tamniès and Proissans, while discovering rivers, ponds and iconic sites like the Cabanes du Breuil and the Château de Commarque. Suitable for regular hikers, the route alternates between gentle sections and more demanding stretches, offering a well-rounded experience combining nature, heritage and authenticity.
